Rebecca has dedicated her career to supporting students, parents, school counselors and other educators, by serving in various roles over the years, including a school counselor in elementary, middle, and high schools; administrator; and adjunct professor. Currently, Rebecca is the Coordinator of Counseling and Student Support at Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) where she oversees the district-wide, comprehensive, data-driven School Counseling Program and coordinates the Crisis Team response. Due to Rebecca’s diligent leadership, six schools in CUSD earned the Recognized American School Counselors Association Model Program designation. In 2019, she was recognized as California School Counselor Advocate of the Year by the California School Counselors Association. Passionate about building systems that support the whole child, Rebecca is also a trainer for Restorative Practices and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
