In Part three of this four-part strand, we will highlight advanced level issues and solutions for complex complaints, including how to decide on whether the District should file for due process hearing or mediation-only and how to successfully handle the filing of simultaneous compliance complaints, due process hearings and/or OCR complaints. We will review case law and present tips and practices that experienced practitioners can incorporate into their procedures to reduce the number of disputes and to obtain favorable outcomes when disputes cannot be resolved amicably.
