This presentation will provide an overview of new laws affecting student services and special education practitioners, which will take effect in 2018-2019. Any news on college and career prepardedness? Any changes in the School Accountability Report Card? What are the guidelines on graduation ceremony adornments? What is the Trauma Informed Schools Initiative? Any new laws related to interdistrict attendance? Attendees will receive a synopsis of each new bill and recommendations regarding possible board policy revisions, notifications, and appropriations considerations.
