Implementing evidence-based practices (EBPs) for ASD in our schools is a challenging goal. However, we do know that leadership has been recognized as a critical element in this process. This presentation will describe how to capitalize on the characteristics and behaviors of effective leadership. Strategies to support a positive EBP implementation climate will be shared to improve the likelihood that EBPs for ASD are supported and implemented. Participants will hear about school districts that have connected their efforts to implement EBPs for ASD with their LCAP so that professional learning opportunities are strategically designed to improve outcomes for their students with ASD.
