Restorative practices is based on the premise that people are happier, more productive and increasingly willing to make positive changes in their lives when people do things with them, rather than to or for them. Restorative practices works to proactively to create a safer school climate by strengthening relationships, building community while holding students accountable. This workshop will explore the basic framework of restorative practices, how to incorporate the principles into a school system and ways integrate with current discipline approaches by creating a community of care.
